Beautiful lake destination that feels remote, but with flush toilets and showers at the campground, as well as an easy paved trail to the nearby lodge with small store, boat rentals, and restaurant, it was easy going. Boat traffic was light to modest, keeping the serenity of the lake. Mosquitos were in force though! Site was level, but limited ground space suitable for a tent, though enough. Will definitely go back

We loved Diamond Lake. We had a fantastic big campsite for 4 of us. The only negative was the lack of cleanliness of the restrooms. We had to get toilet paper from the camp host for our restroom which was never cleaned while we were there for 4 days.

Campground is nice and huge. Bathrooms were not well cared for in G Loop but the ones in M Loop were more clean. Would stay again.

Enjoyed the time at Diamond Lake, but the campsite we chose had no level spots for a tent. The site also had very little sun. The showers were a nice touch. We probably would try Thielsen View Campground next time.

Diamond Lake has beautiful campsites all along the lake, many of which, are basically private beach fronts. Unfortunately, in June the mosquitoes and other fleas and insects were rather prolific, bring insect repellents or wait till later when the hatch is over. Dellenbeck Trail is a great path to walk all around the lake, with some biking access as well. Crater Lake is a short distance away and is one of the must see areas of the USA, don’t miss it, it’s beautiful. Some of the bathrooms are non functional due to required repairs but there are plenty throughout the campground so you won’t be out of luck!

Not exactly the fault of the campsite, but be prepared for an absolutely insane amount of bugs right now. Evening opening our car door resulted in 30+ bugs instantly entering our vehicle. Had it not been so late, we probably would've have just left to stay in a hotel they were so bad. We were smashing bugs against our windshield for days after staying here for one night.
Pros: showers are by donation, and were a nice amenity. Campsites do seem to be nice and private, which was the only redeeming part of this stay.
Cons: aside from bugs, the bathrooms though are in much need of attention - they are very dirty, have no soap, no hand dryer/paper towels, etc.

Bathroom nearest us and the next closest were closed. The bathroom that was open was then overflowing. No mention at the gate by attendant.
The reservation system was not very easy to use. We had to do separate reservations for each day and ended up double booking sites for the same night. It should be a simple reservation system that older folks can easily access and use.
