Woke up to snow! Thankful for the trailer and hot showers. Had dinner at the lodge and had a great time. Bugs weren't bad - saw plenty but thankfully very few mosquitos.

The lake is beautiful but the campground, well, it has much to be desired. It’s a camping experience for folks who don’t want rules enforced. Forget quiet hours because generators start up around 5:30 am on the H Loop. The bathrooms on the G loop are disgusting, speed limits are ignored and campground hosts are hard to find. Be aware that the G Loop serves as the entrance and exit for many of the sites and even the Forest Service staff drive well above the 15 mph posted limit. There is no firewood for sale, so bring your own. Such a poorly run facility. Such a disappointment.

We love Diamond Lake but was very disappointed the fish cleaning stations were closed and also surprised the Forest Service entrance booth was not manned during the week.

This site description is very off. the driveway is not 73ft. we have a 36ft 5th wheel so hooked up to our truck we are about 53ft and be barely fit in this spot. we paid for a double site and could only park our rig in it. the boulders along the right side of the pull through were in the way and should be moved.

Beautiful campsite. Fire pits with grates, picnic tables, and easy water access. Sooooo many gnats though. That was the one drawback. Hundreds and hundreds. Don’t know if we’ll be back for that reason😭

The bugs were really bad in the late afternoon/evening but went away when the sun went down. Beautiful campground and views of the lake. Would definitely go back!

Campground is not suited for large trailers. Website does not warn, but a 36' fifth-wheel is too large to maneuver around some bends and through hanging branches.
We left after just one day. Awful time of year to go (mid-June). Mosquitos and other bugs were INTENSE! Swarms of them. Could not go outside at camp.
Bike trail around lake is good - not too challenging but great exercise.
