Wonderful camping trip at Four-Mile Lake! The campground was virtually deserted for most of our Monday - Friday stay. The quietest camping experience we have ever had! Site 7 offers lots of privacy (especially compared to other lakefront sites). Our site was so sunny, it didn't really get dark until about 8. In the morning, we comfortably walked around in just t-shirts and shorts. Gorgeous views in every direction. Excellent fishing just down from our site! I also enjoyed nice swims nearly daily. We kayaked across the lake one day for fishing on the other shore. We were literally the only people on the lake the entire day. Hiked to Woodpecker, Badger and Long Lakes, easy hikes, lovely lakes! Lake of the. Woods is about 15 minutes away, breakfasted at their restaurant, yummy! The vault toilets were very clean. Our camp host, Hank, was friendly and gave us great fishing tips. I only rated down a star because there is only one place to get water, and one place to dump garbage which was a little inconvenient.

The camp host was great. Help us with another site due to the one I picked was to short for us. On line the site said 35 ft. Boy it was barley if that. He gave us a site that was just right. On the lake also! Thank you.

One of my favorite lakes in Southern Oregon. Much quieter than the lake across the street. Sites have views of the lake. Can be windy and long gravel road to access. Pit toilets. No showers.

The camp hosts were the best part of the experience. They showed exceptional hospitality and were a wealth of information. Hank greeted us immediately upon arrival and gave us a full run down of the facility. Restrooms were kept clean and they were out at quiet hours to verify campers were abiding by the rules.
This is the first time I would consider going back because of the host.

Review is sadly only based on the issue that my car could not make it to the camping spot. I had checked the drive, and reviews to ensure I wouldn't need a 4-wheel drive to get there. Sadly, I did. I had to very carefully turn around and just found another spot off Recreation.gov to stay for the night. Not a biggie, just sad I didn't make it to this really cool looking spot for the meteor shower night. I will find another day to make it to this campground. Just taking a different vehicle this time.

Very poor experience I have camped in this exact number before, was appropriately a single spot now a double. No room for more than one tent. They charged for every vehicle past one in a double spot. It had cable that was halfway in ground and several of my grandchildren tripped and fell on this. The park hosts charged us an extra 100 for cars past one when two should be included for a double spot. The camp hosts were constantly driving by and down by lake making you feel uncomfortable and like you had no privacy UPDATE. AFTER OVER A WEEK OF TRYING TO DISCUSS MY CONCERNS WITH FOREST SERVICE AND LAKE OF THE WOODS I DONT BELIEVE THE ADDRESSED ANY OF MY CONCERNS ON SAFETY, SITE ASSIGNMENT AND HOSTS BEHAVIOR. DUE TO LAKE OF WOODS OPERATING THIS FACILITY ITS BEING USED LIKE A RESORT WITH OUT THE AMENITIES. I WILL ALWAYS SUPPORT OUR LOCAL FOREST SERVICE BUT WILL NOT STAY At Work THIS FACILITY AGAIN DUE TO ITS MANAGEMENT
