This campground is beautiful and serene, and the hosts, Kimberly and Chad, were kind and very helpful! We stayed in site 6, which was very secluded. We felt that sites 5, 6, and 7 were the nicest, and most secluded sites. I would recommend if you choose one of these sites, that when entering the campground, go to the left - clockwise - around the loop to have better backing access to these sites. It has been mentioned in other posts that the sewer connections are not the most convenient, which they are not. I would suggest that a person have at least 30 feet of drain hose to reach the connections. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, and will return in the not too distant future!

We stayed in site 7. The site was spacious yet felt secluded. The campground is against a bit of a hill and site 7 was toward the top. It has these cute little stairs that lead to the picnic table and fire pit. I wouldnt want to use a tent at the site as it has small sharp rocks everywhere but IDK if they allow tents anyway. There were wild flowers and fruit bushes in camp. They didnt have water when we went and like others have stated, the waste connection is too far away for even 2 sets of normal RV waste tubes to reach. So be aware of that. You will need leveling blocks here because again, its against a hill. Overall it was a great stay and since it was not right off a busy highway, it was really quiet at night.

Beautiful and quiet! Strange little shacks at each camp site that are un-useable. Other than that, it was a completely enjoyable week there held by a circle of large trees with stars at the top in the clear nights. One of my new favorite places to camp - so peaceful. Enjoy!

This is a hidden gem from USFS. Visited friends who live about 30 miles away and even though they pass by the entrance at least once a month, they did not know the campground was equipped for RV's.
The tree canopy is so good that it gets dark about two hours before the wide-open country 5 miles away.
Only issue was that hookups for our space 7, was way behind the RV and had to have extensions on water and sewer to reach the hookups.
Would return if need to be in the area. A grocery store with basic supplies is about 8 miles east and a great little general store with an unbelievable supply of RV accessories (tongue jacks, every electrical adapter you can think of, sewer hoses, fresh water, chemicals, etc. is located in Wamic about 40 miles NE.

The actual site (008) could have been better. Not terribly surprising since the whole campground area is slightly hilly, but the site was not that level - needed height adjustments on 3 wheels, more than any other location I visited on my trip. The layout of the utilities was poor - the sewer was far enough away to require an extension hose and placed so it was difficult to avoid having the sewer hose cross the water line. The 30A breaker on the electrical box failed (failed, not tripped) so I lost electricity unexpectedly but was fortunately able to get the 20A connection to work.
On the bright side, the host was attentive - greeted us on arrival, checked on the problems, and delivered the firewood I purchased. Also enjoyed the clean picnic table and the fire pit, both located up a small rise (maybe 4 ft) from the parking pad.

We stayed in site 003 for four nights over Fourth of July weekend. The campground is tiny and super quiet. As noted, the sewer hookup is on the wrong side so we had to drag our hose under our rig. It also ends up being an uphill slope for the hose so make sure you bring a walkdown. Third issue with the sewer is the hole to hookup to is the same diameter as the sewer hose so it definitely took some finagling. I will be contacting the agency to let them know this needs to be remedied. Besides these issues it was a great trip and perfect for unwinding, with zero cell service it made us relax!

Nice quiet campground in the woods. Friendly staff. The site was slanted. No cell service. Be sure and check the weather before you get there if you plan to drive by mt. Hood. We hit a crazy snowstorm in late may.
