TCWL sets roots in your heart the moment you hear and see the Mollalla river surrounded by forest and pull into the gravel driveway. The cabins are perfect for those wanting a getaway to reconnect with nature. It looks more beautiful and maintained each time I return. I love the forest trail and also sitting by the waters here… being surrounded by Doug fir trees, ferns, trillium, beautiful birds, along the creek is my kind of bliss. Simply, a space filled with wild and love. I love their sauna at the bathouse, with the outdoor shower, and traditional wooden tub outlooking the river with the doors open…. :) The community lodge and kitchen is ample for preparing and sharing a meal, even if just for one, dining with the trees. Yoga and wellness retreats, creative getaway, and solo meditation with nature, all feel so natural here as it is a quiet space to reconnect with Mother Earth.

Trout Creek Wilderness Lodge is nothing short of magical. From the giant, old growth trees to the serene sounds and beauty of the river and creek, to the refreshing hot tub experience, to the hikes amongst the property.

When Ashley, my now wife, and I first visited this space we knew it is where we wanted to have our wedding. In the forest, making food with friends and family, and camping for a few days.

We did just that a year and a half later and were blown away at the memories this place will forever hold for us. Ian and his staff run a fluid, kind, welcoming place to escape and connect with fundamental elements and other humans.

Much love and gratitude for providing/sharing such a beautiful and truly magical place. Doesn't matter if you're a kid or an adult, I truly believe you'll leave in awe of everything you saw, and want to go back again and again.

A truly magical place unlike anywhere I’ve ever been! We felt like we were in Costa Rica but only an hour away from Portland 💚 Kids had a blast exploring and jumping into the river….and learned to fish and kayak! Cannot say enough good things about this place…a hidden Portland gem for sure.

I don't use words like "majestic" flippantly, so please hear me when I saw this place is truly majestic. The old growth forest engulfs you as you step foot onto this property, matched only in beauty by the water - which is amazingly crisp and refreshing. I've lost count of the number of times I've visited the Trout Creek Wilderness Lodge, but each and every time I feel like I'm rediscovering it. I raved about it so much, I think my husband might have suspected I was over-exaggerating...until he saw it for himself. Truly breathtaking; this location is a gem that represents all that is sacred and beautiful about Oregon.
