What Guests Are Saying

Mud Lake Campground offers beautiful landscapes, abundant wildlife, and convenient amenities like electricity and clean restrooms. Visitors appreciate the serene environment and breathtaking views, making it ideal for hiking and recreation. However, the campground has issues with bugs, uneven terrain, and close proximity of campsites, as well as some noise from nearby activities and a rough access road.

Good things: Beautiful landscape, thousands of butterflies, deer, someone came around each day selling firewood, clean restroom, you can hear a small creek near by, shade, breathtaking views! Natural landscape, power hook up. Small trash can at exit for trash collection. Anthony lake across the street is beautiful as well.
Not so good things: BUGS, not level in any way, BUGS, fire pit is on a hill surrounded by very large rocks so you can’t really put chairs around it, BUGS, site 2 will not hold a trailer of any size we could hardly fit our truck off the road and no real designated tent area either. We put our tent down the hill a ways on not level ground. BUGS! Lots of tree stumps to trip on. This entire camp ground is very close to a place called Mud lake so I expected mosquitoes but goodness they were thick. Buy lots of firewood! We had a smoke fire all day just to keep them down a bit. Camp sites are close together and no shrubs between so not very private but better then some places we’ve stayed. I will be coming back again but armed with more bug spray!

Loved the availability of electricity! Such a lovely place to hike and recreate. Might be good to let people know that noise from the ski resort garage was heard regularly, but no other complaints.

Neighbors across the road played their music (complete with speakers that measured 1' X 3') until 11. I was not a fan. I came to GO TO THE WOODS, to nature. Not a fan of being around ppl who intrude on the quiet of nature by bringing their city cr*p with them.

Our trip was fantastic! Mud lake camp ground is small and very quiet. A positive for us was the 30 amp service available. Most sites are for smaller rigs, but we were able to park or 23 foot tow behind with no problem in a larger space (4). Water was easy to get at Anthony Lakes camp ground. For us, because it was small and quiet, a great experience. If you are looking for quiet and out of the way, it is a 10. AND the fishing was great...
