Lovely campgrounds and very well maintained. A bit more crowded than I like, but still pretty quiet this visit.

This is our 5th year coming to waldo! Camp Host Doug has been there all 5 years. He keeps the facilities immaculate! The pristine nature of the lake and the shallow waters near the north campground are perfect for families!

We were unable to go to North Waldo because of the forest fire.

Hello, first, we love Waldo! Shocked to see all the blow down of large pine trees. Can’t these be picked up and taken to mills? Hate to see them just cut up for firewood(which will take years) and the wood will rot and draw yellowjackets! We were told also to curtail our generator use. Granted this is a peaceful CG. We use a generator to keep our refrig and fan going. We followed the rules!
A fire started to the west. On August 5th we were told by “Doug” that the forest service was closing the campground. So we left. This was 5 days before we were supposed to leave, only to find out less than a month later, the campground never closed. We were never offered a credit to our Rec.gov account. So needless to say, this trip was less than! Sad!

Great lake and the north side has a protected bay with small islands. Great surrounding hikes with sections of PCT. Campground was clean, large spots. Host was friendly and worked hard to keep restrooms and trash cleaned up multiple times per day.

Very nice campground, well maintained with clean amenities. Minus 1 star for the severe mosquito infestation, but otherwise a great experience.
