We had a delightful time. The site was clean, private, and well maintained. The camp area is small to begin with, only twenty some sites, so that keeps the overall traffic and noise low. Depending on the water level, the lake has two lobes with slightly different trophs-the larger more clear and sandy and the other more swampy. Great fishing spot for beginners, with few snags. We saw trout, crawfish, salamanders, razor clams. The area is fairly contained and just one big loop so easy to let kids explore on their own. Pick up your own firewood in Florence before you arrive.

We live near by and love this location with the small lake & beach for our granddaughters we have been going for several years.

We had the perfect spot (#12)…it was secluded, quiet, and tucked away in the trees. The spot to park our truck was level with the road, with a short step/descent down to where the picnic table, fire pit, and area for a tent was. It was fine for us, but if someone has mobility issues, this may not be the site for them. But there are other flat and easily accessible sites there as well. We were a short walk from the bathroom and the water spigot. The lake was close by as well. The campground is clean, quiet, and there are trails that you can walk along. We would definitely stay there again!

The campground is fine and our spot was actually really nice. When we got to our spot it was beautiful and quiet. Then the neighbors showed up. A HUGE group, way over the limit, and they were completely oblivious to the fact that other people were camping all around them. They proceeded to talk and yell at each loudly for hours while setting up and then played beyond loud music (like for the entire campground to hear) until around midnight. It was near impossible to sleep. We noticed the next morning there seemed to be some sort of camp host but they did absolutely zero about it. We reserved our spot for Friday and Saturday night but decided to leave Saturday because we couldn’t deal with another loud obnoxious night of not sleeping. We like this campground, just not sure we want to risk going back.

Nice site. I was on 12 and it was very nice and close to the bathroom. The Campground had flush toilets, which is nice, but the restrooms could use some more cleaning. Overall- great location that is close to the beach but you don’t get the cold wind blowing in.

This campground has been our favorite for many years. This year for the first time our camping trip did not start very well since the people who stayed there before us refused to leave. The camp host discussed the issue with the ranger, and I talked to these people as well, explaining my health situation and that this was our only camping trip before upcoming surgeries. So, finally around 3 p.m. they moved to another site. After that we had a wonderful experience as usual. We enjoy and appreciate our "private" piece of beach. I would recommend to people who enjoy observing wildlife to drive just a 1/4 mi to the Siltcoos river early in the morning. We were lucky to observe a coyote, 2 foxes, several beavers and more.

It’s a beautiful campground. Some campsite are on the lake side. Over all clean and little off HWY 101 so it’s pretty quiet.

Terrific spot in a terrific part of Oregon. I live in Las Vegas so rolling into all the fog and mist is great but this spot has a pretty epic fog roll that was great to experience into the dark. It’s a pretty tiny campground and since I was only staying one night I didn’t even see the host. Easy spot with easy parking and load in/out
