There was a large group that was loud and obnoxious until after midnight the whole weekend. There were no showers, which I understand was a governor's order but none the less annoying.

Driftwood campground offers excellent dune access and a clean, quiet environment, making it a great spot for ATV enthusiasts and families. The camp host receives consistent praise for being friendly and helpful, enhancing the overall experience. However, there are concerns about outdated facilities, particularly with limited shower hours and plumbing issues, which some visitors hope will be addressed in the future.

I’ve been camping at the Florence dunes since I was born 48 years ago. Driftwood is now the only one w/ atv dunes access. It’s hard to get reservations, YOU HAVE THE ROOM & NEED TO EXPAND THE CAMPGROUND!

Have been going here for over 20 years. On our last trip we are starting to notice that the sand areas in our camp spot are very dirty. nobody is even trying to clean it up, We actually found a knife blade in the sand and a number of tent stakes. Very dangerous. Camp hosts are great.

The spaces in Driftwood II are narrow and hard to maneuver a 5th wheel or a toyhauler into the spaces and there is no overflow parking.
I rented 6 spaces for 4 trailers & tents & toys. We used 2 randomly placed spaces for parking but were still hassled from the park ranger covering on the camp hosts day off. He threatened multiple times to have us towed "because the spaces needed to have at least 1 tent on site"
I am not sure why that mattered as the spaces were paid for ESPECIALLY knowing that there is no overflow parking. Who wants to go camping/riding to deal with a hassle like that? The site itself was nice with direct access to the beach. The authority however was difficult and stressful to deal with.
