It was very clean and each campsite was private. There was a trail in the campground that led us out to the gorgeous dunes and we watched sunset from there. Amazing

Clean but older and outdated campground. Spots very peaceful and private. Pavement old and breaking up making it challenging to level camper. Didn’t like how some campers were more like semi permanent residents.

We always have a good time at Eel Creek. We raised our children with several camping trips there most years while they were growing up
and they did the same.

This was our last campground during our PCH road trip, and we did tent camping at 39. This campground was nice and the campsite was pretty spacious and private. We did have neighbors on both sides, but we still had room to move around quite a bit and it was blocked by enough vegetation to provide quite a bit of privacy. The people were quiet and polite and the bathrooms were clean, but the campers before us had left a bit of trash on the picnic table. I also thought this location had showers, but we were not able to locate them (we didn't look very hard because we got in late and left early). We loved that it was right next to the sand dunes and not far from a lot of places we wanted to go to. We went to the dunes right before sunset and stayed there until it was dark. It was absolutely STUNNING! The dunes were quiet and no vehicles were allowed on them, which was so nice. I wish we could have had more time here to hike the sand dunes to the beach.

This campground is located in close proximity to multiple lakes and wetlands. Due to this, there can be an abundance of mosquitoes between the months of April and August. Please be prepared for this. |
