EPIC!!! Will always go to Eel Creek when I want to explore the dunes. When you are there, don't forget to hike the trail to the beach!

Great trail to ocean. Some nice sites. A little highway noise during the day. Park hosts do not clean and were never on duty. People camping without paying. Watch your valuables. Good Verizon service.

No electric, no portable water and no dumping station, but restrooms and showers available. Pull thru sites at 12, 16, 22, 26 and 29, I think. Those sites are backed up against a climb up to the Oregon Dunes. The day use parking lot is closed off. We were the only ones there at the time besides the park host. We enjoyed our time there, and especially loved the close proximity to the Dunes.

Eel Creek Campground is our new favorite beach camping place. I'm torn about sharing the info and keeping it a secret. We were just one of three families for two nights in February. The main attraction for us and our dog was the access to the most beautiful and pristine stretches of dunes I've seen. Next time we'll make the trek (2 miles ) to the ocean. We chose Eel Creek, south of Reedsport, because there were no OHV/ATV access points within miles so those audio-visual monsters not around to destroy the natural experience. Most campsites were relatively exposed to neighboring sites and passersby but picnic tables and firepits were often quite secluded. The toilets were very clean and water taps convenient to each site. Another plus in our book was that Eel Creek does not offer electrical hookups limiting the campground's appeal to those with big RV's.

The water system was shut off. No water, no bathroom. This was not posted on the web site. Still had to pay full price. Also, the only way to pay for a campsite was through the reservation system, which costs an extra $8.00 to use.
On the plus side, there was only one other camper there for the three nights of our stay.

Our confirmation said potable water, flush toliets. We arrived and water was shut down, all restrooms closed and a porta pottie. It would have been one thing if we were told ahead of time there was no restrooms and water so you can prepare but what are you paying for when there are no amenities and we were required to book three days since it was a holiday weekend.

This was a wonderful stop on our Oregon road trip! A quiet campground with a surprising trail across the sand dunes to the ocean, we will definitely stay here again.
