Loved our campsite! The previous campers from 4th of July were litterbugs so we went around and picked up their trash, but other than that it was amazing. We saw lots of animal tracks in the mornings and saw a Humboldt Martin going across one of the roads. What a beautiful fun trip!!

Camp was beautiful. Host was over worked and clearly frustrated. Showers token should be kept At the camps. That way if machine runs out host can provide! That was the worst part! No showers!! Boooooo

The forest service workers were rude. Then the camp host was even ruder as she had the adasitay to remove our tarp which was covering items in the bed of our truck saying " your making me look bad" . I will never return their in that section .. horse fall camp and horse fall beach.. both just horrible.

This specific spot was not a good site for a toy hauler! We weren't able to safely set up within the required 150 feet of the post and ended up having to find a camp site somewhere else.

From North Bend, Oregon, follow Highway 101 north for about 2 miles to the Horsfall Dunes and Beach road sign. Turn left onto Trans Pacific Lane and proceed for 1.1 miles to the intersection with Horsfall Beach Road. Turn right onto Horsfall Beach Road and proceed for 0.5 miles. After 0.5 miles, turn right at the entrance to the Horsfall Campground and Day Use Area. Follow the access road straight ahead into the Day Use Area; a sand access point is situated within the Day Use Area.
Horsfall sand campsites are also accessible from the Old Bark Staging Area and the Bull Run Staging Area. Please refer to a map of the camping area to locate the best access point for your campsite. Old Bark and Bull Run are both along Horsfall Beach Road: Old Bark is 0.75 miles from the intersection with Trans Pacific Lane, and Bull Run is 2 miles from the intersection.
Horsfall Sand Camping is accessed via Highway 101, which is approximately 2 miles south of the campground. The campground is reached by turning onto Trans Pacific Lane from Highway 101.

General
- Notice to all Dune Riders! The Oregon dunes have the highest off-highway vehicle incident rates in the state. Before riding, please be aware of dune riding hazards and what you and others can do to stay safe. Here are some dune riding safety tips along with some general riding tips that can help redu ce incidents. Oregon ATV Program information can be found at www.OregonOHV.org.
- Guidelines for a safe visit to the Siuslaw National Forest The Siuslaw’s campgrounds, day use areas, and trails continue to be open for public enjoyment. While you are visiting the Forest, please adhere to the following guidelines. These guidelines will help ensure a safe and healthy visit for you and your family, our employees and volunteers, and other visitors: Please keep in mind that restrooms are generally cleaned and disinfected at least once daily at the more popular campgrounds and day use sites, and once to three times a week at other sites. Be prepared to provide your own soap, sanitizer, or disinfectant. If no trash receptacle is provided, please protect your public lands by packing out your waste and trash. - Forest Service-operated campsites on the Siuslaw National Forest are currently available by online reservation only. Visitors can make reservations online through this website (preferred), or via phone by calling the recreation.gov phone line at 877-444-6777. If you call this number, please be prepared for longer-than-usual wait times. Please note that the Siuslaw National Forest does not have any control over the recreation.gov phone line, so we ask you to please prepare by making reservations well in advance.
- No drinking water or facilities available; please bring all necessary equipment including water, portable toilets, and fire pans
- Camp only within designated sites and within 150 feet of the site marker
- Access is by 4X4 on soft sand only
- Please bring garbage bags; this is a 'pack in-pack out' facility
- Possession of alcohol is prohibited
- State of Oregon OHV permit required for off-road vehicle riding
- All motorized vehicles on sand must adhere to Oregon OHV regulations. Click here for OHV requirements
- Sites must occupied within first 24 hours of arrival time. Otherwise unoccupied sites will be considered a "no-show" and will be released.

- Don't Move Firewood: Please protect Pacific Northwest forests by preventing the spread of invasive species. Firewood can carry insects and diseases that can threaten the health of our western forests. You can make a difference by obtaining and burning your firewood near your camping destination. - Snowy plovers, a threatened species of small coastal bird, has a designated nesting habitat on Siltcoos Beach. Beach access in nesting area restricted during Snowy Plover nesting season (March 15-September 15). The USFS coordinates with Oregon State Parks and beach goers to protect these threatened birds during a very sensitive time. - There is a 14-day in 30 rolling days camping limit on the Siuslaw National Forest. The 14 days does not have to be consecutive. The 14-day limit covers the entire Siuslaw National Forest and not just this campground as shown in the Rules Section. This means you cannot go to other campgrounds on the Siuslaw National Forest after reaching the 14-day limit.
