Been going to Loon Lake over 50 years. After being shut down for so many years I thought there would have been improvements, quit the opposite. The playground really needed some TLC, even just a load of chips. The reservation policies really need some changing.

First time at loon lake, I was pleasantly surprised by how well organized the tent sites were and the restrooms were clean. Sandy beaches at the lake and a large designated swimming area was another pleasant surprise.

Clean and pretty quiet this year. Lots of empty sites that were reserved. Running water in some bathrooms was a welcome addition this year. Would like to see the reservation process changed. Some campsites could use some attention- move some rock obstructions from the ends of the driveways to allow for safer entry with a trailer.

Quiet campsite set on a hillside. We had #17 huge site next to/behind the camp host. However it was up a steep hill from the water. If not interested in the water great place to camp. Otherwise make sure to book as close to the water as possible, or you will be walking up and down a very steep hill.
