This is the nicest, most well kept campground we’ve ever stayed in. Great sites, amenities, and incredible access to the beautiful North Umpqua River!

Pristine, level sites next to the beautiful Umpqua river. With HOT, clean showers! Couldn’t be nicer. Alas, no firewood for sale according to the host, who did a great job keeping the camp clean. Just a gem of a campsite.

Our visit itself was actually excellent as was the camp host. She is very enjoyable. However, through no fault of hers, we have been extremely disappointed with the reservation system. It has major flaws and we don't know of anyone who likes it. The system also makes it next to impossible to travel. During our stay, there were 5 sites that sat empty even though they had 2-4 day reservations and could not be enjoyed by other campers (because the sites were paid for). That is WRONG! It is rude, selfish and inconsiderate. Something has to change about this problem as it occurs almost every time we go camping. I also
feel that not all sites should be reservable. People should be able to enjoy traveling with first-come first-serve sites.

I hope my review gets some feedback and that the reservation system can make improvements. These camps are for everyone and there should be penalties and loss of the site to those who can't be bothered to cancel their reservation. They should also lose the money they had paid. The campground could actually make more money this way because the incoming campers could pay the fee also.

I am 76 and have camped my entire life. It should be a fun and relaxing venture; even though, we had a reservation, it is extremely stressful to us to see how enjoying the outdoors has changed.

Hopefully, changes will be made.

Susan Creek Campground was the perfect place for our small family reunion. We had two sites: one with a camper (2 people) and the other with an Airstream (3 people). We all enjoyed our stay tremendously. The sites were large, clean, easy to access and the bathrooms were well cared for and very clean. We loved that hot water was available! We enjoyed our quiet evening campfires and spoke with several friendly campers as they walked by. The camp host Paula was very personable, and extremely helpful. We enjoyed speaking with her on several occasions and consider her one of the best Campground hosts we have encountered. The scenery was lovely, and there were plenty of great walks and hikes in the area. We will definitely return to this Campground.

Our camp site was filthy, with broken shot glasses on the ground. We cleaned it up before we left so that the next campers would not have to come to that kind of site.

Nice location. RV sites along the river are great. My site was away from the river and very small. I had to park my car at a separate location. There is additional parking for people in that situation. The host was helpful. Bathrooms were clean. Flush toilets. Little sunlight for solar panel or Starlink.

I grew up in Roseburg and have been camping at Susan Creek for more than 60 years. I love Susan Creek, and it is my favorite campground in the world -- bar none. Though I no longer have any family in living in Douglas County, it is still home to me and I visit at least once every couple years. I always stay at Susan Creek rather than with friends or at a hotel.

Great campground right on the N Umpqua River; the sites are close together but there are trees and bushes that make the sites private. There are showers (we did not use them) and running water/flush toilets. The camp host is very kind and helpful. I have nothing but good things to say about our camping there!

Very busy campground but the site I had (#30) was quiet enough and had a trail to the river. The site was level (I have a rooftop tent so this is paramount). The showers were hot, and free. I would stay here again.
