What Guests Are Saying

Tyee Campground is a well-maintained, beautiful site with clean facilities and friendly camp hosts, making it a pleasant place for families and outdoor activities. The campground offers good access to the Umpqua River, with spacious sites and walking trails, although some areas can be quite noisy due to nearby highway and logging traffic. While most campers enjoyed their stay, concerns were raised about odors from vault toilets and close quarters between campsites.

Nice camping experience! Their was a little bit of road noise from the highway across the river not terrible. Simple to find and easy back in parking with travel trailer. Semi secluded camping spot with nice river views. No hook ups but lots of fresh water faucets near driveway. No cell service. Camp host was friendly and kept a watchful eye and the restrooms super clean.

I drove in at dusk only to find no cell service. A phone was provided to call for a reservation as they had no walk up pay station. I was exhausted and forgot to look at the site number I had parked at. There was no map at the kiosk and the customer service person had no map either. I guessed the site number out of frustration and ended up with an undesirable site and had to move my van. I protest that to stay one night I had to pay the $8 reservation fee along with my camping fee. The site was clean but other campers were also not happy with the lack of maps and paying the fee on-site.
I really think the $8 fee should be waived if you are onsite trying to stay the night. Either provide a self pay station or waive the fee.
The site and bathrooms were very clean and it was a nice site.
