Tyee Campground - Umpqua River

I had a four night reservation but was forced to head home immediately upon arrival because of an emergency. The camp host was extremely helpful and instructed me to cancel the reservation indicating that I would only be charged one night but would be refunded for the remaining three nights. After doing so, Reservation.gov informed me that they do not give any refunds even though they initially took my money and told me that I would have to contact BLM for any refund since they own the camp. BLM informed me that they cannot give refunds since they hired Reservation.gov to handle all of that. Bottom line is that I was refused any refunds for a site I never used. Formal complaint has been filed with the Oregon DOJ and I am presently waiting for a reply.

Know that this is a dry camp, there are no sewage or electrical hookups. The location is perfect, right on the river so bring your kayaks and fishing gear.

This was everything a campground should be. Lots of tall mossy trees, large campsites, just footsteps away from the river and a great campground host. Without any Internet access, which is also a good thing while we’re camping, I thought I had no way to book a reservation, which was required for this campground. But there is a hard line telephone at the entrance to this small 20-site slice of paradise. Awesome! Made our reservation right there and proceeded to enjoy a wonderful experience.

Caught some nice smallmouth bass. Campground was peaceful and quiet. We're planning to go back.

Beautiful Clean and spread out. The river is Great with easy access, The location on The loud highway is the only knock. Please put campgrounds in better places.

Great camp ground in an easy to get to beautiful location.

We stayed the weekend here with a number of friends and relatives to celebrate our daughter's wedding. The pavilion was rented also to accommodate a huge BBQ reception. The grounds were very clean and the wooded campground made for some very beautiful pictures! The camp hosts went out of their way to accommodate all the special needs, including parking. There were about 65 guests in attendance (some car-pooled). Everyone had a great time. We would definitely recommend this location to camp or hold a special event.

My family enjoys this campground even in the winter. We have camped here many times, lots of short trials and you have the river to walk around and fish. It is very shaded so can be a little chilly even in the summer, but just beautiful and pleasant.
