We stay here every August as a family gathering place, you can fish, swim, play horseshoes, we play croquet, you can have scavenger hunts, walk the trails. We also float the River. The overall experience is excellent for families. short distance to Sutherlin or Elton and less than an hour from the coast.

We love it there. We've stayed at both the Eagle View and Tyee campgrounds. We love the area and the river. It's so much fun for us and our kids to come and chill out, fish, swim, and roast some s'mores. It's the perfect spot to hang out.

Very helpful and patient camp host! All the info is on the sign, but he took the time to show me, as I couldn't understand why I had to make a reservation if there were so many open sites. It is their process and they provide wifi to gitrdun. Beautiful riverside camping. Prepare to find walking elsewhere...the "trail" didn't seem to go anywhere.

Facilities were clean, excellent and well-maintained, both the campground and the rest of the campsite. Great place to have a fire to sit by, and within feet of the Umpqua river. The only downside for me was that on the other side of the river is a road with enough traffic that the noise, while low, is still noticeable, including early morning. If your group has kids running around you won't hear a thing. Otherwise, a great spot!

Several sites right along the river with lots and lots of tree cover. Water spigots all around. Restroom was clean and well stocked. Hosts were very friendly. A fair amount of road traffic noise though. I was hoping for some firewood but they were out.

Tyee Campground is really nice. We had originally reserved site 9, but when we arrived the stink from the pit toilets wafting in was overwhelming. Luckily, a site further down was available and so the host helped me access wifi so I could change my reservation. I would avoid sites 8 & 9 because of the toilet smells.

It was a great site with plenty of room for tents with the RV. Big fire pits with cooking rack on top. Bathroom was close to all the sites and the umpqua river right next to our campsite. Solid stairs down to the river and lots of trails for walking the dog. Although the you had to be within 100' of the camp host to use the wifi, it was avaliable when there was no phone service.
