It's been too many years that the fish station isn't usable. Also we had our water shut off for 24hrs. Just seems like we are paying the same price without the amenities.

Extremely windy. Fault toilets. Small playground in day use area. Swim area nearby but full of algae/ plants growing.

Easy check in. Nice clean park, well maintained. I like the paved pull through sites with water and electric. Mine around a bugs due to proximity to the water. The swimming area was nice although with the warm still water there was a lot of algae and seaweed in the swim area.

Sites were flat and fairly easy to back into. No shade and you can hear the trucks going over the bridge. Alright spot to stop for the night.

RV sites are in good shape and a good value especially for seniors with a pass. No shade or windbreaks, so it can get very hot and windy. Not sure why most of the pull through sites are "non reservable", it makes it unpredictable to drive long distances with no reserved spot, unless you reserve a back in site and then switch after after arriving. The dock at boat launch and restrooms are in poor shape. The swimming area is full of weeds. Fishing is very good if not windy.

- Camping limited to 14 days within a 30-consecutive day period.
- Trailers are required to have a tow vehicle available throughout duration of reservation. If renting a trailer through a separate company, please call John Day Ranger Office (541) 739-1135 for approval.
- RV sites are limited to one RV unit and one tent OR two tents. Tent sites are limited to two tents per site. Maximum occupancy of eight people per site.
- Rattlesnakes may be present; use caution.
- Pets are allowed and must be kept on a maximum 6ft leash at all times.
- Don't Move Firewood: Protect your forests from tree-killing pests by buying your firewood locally and burning it on-site. Visit Dontmovefirewood.org for further information.
- Off-road vehicles not permitted
- STOP THE SPREAD OF INVASIVE SPECIES. Remove plants, seeds, animals, and mud from boots, gear, pets, and vehicles. Clean your gear before entering and leaving the recreation site. Stay on designated roads and trails, and follow local guidelines for firewood. CLEAN, DRAIN, DRY boats and any other recreational equipment that contacts water. Dispose of unwanted bait, worms, fish parts, or other organisms into the trash and not into the environment. For more information visit https://www.invasivespeciesinfo.gov/rec.
