What Guests Are Saying

Lepage Park is appreciated for its friendly staff, clean facilities, and beautiful waterfront location near the John Day and Columbia rivers, making it a great stop for travelers. Many guests noted the park's well-maintained sites and good fishing opportunities, though some expressed disappointment with the restroom cleanliness and limited amenities, particularly for RV campers. The park was in great shape. The employees are very helpful and friendly.
You must be aware that the weather can become very windy.

Although it was extremely windy, all else was well exept for the obvious and disgusting bathroom availability for the over 150 people camped in the tent area. one bathroom with only two toilets and the urinals closed down. They were disgusting inside. Porta potties would be an easy fix to relieve the pressure of usage given the number of campers.

Easy access from I-84.
Windy and hot, but to be expected in late July. No issues with campsite or staff

First off the park is heavily dog restrictive, can’t even take them near to the water, only to the nasty water on the boat ramp. And the water was gross anyways. The beach was extremely lackluster. Picture of the campsite is extremely misleading. It was so windy that we couldn’t sleep either so we left after 1 night instead of staying the 2. It’s basically just a basic park that you can set up a tent at. I would of just set up a tent in my yard and had a better time.

It was our first time at this park. We were rather surprised/disappointed to see only vault toilets offered in the rv area. The full service bathrooms seemed to cater convenience wise to day use and tent campers. Maybe the RV sites were added after the facilities were initially added. While it is true that most RV’s have showers and bathrooms, ours does not. It was quite a hike to the improved facilities.
Otherwise, very clean and a great location at the confluence of the John Day and Columbia rivers. The park entrance person was very patient and helpful. All utilities worked well and the site was level. Very few RV spots with shade trees for the respite from the heat, but tall canyon walls provided early shade as sun set.
I would go back as there are nearby places I would like to visit and the price was very reasonable.
