Gorge Campground is highly praised for its beautiful setting along the Metolius River, spacious campsites, and well-maintained facilities, creating a peaceful atmosphere for visitors. The area offers excellent access to hiking, fishing, and nature activities, making it a favorite for families and repeat campers. Camp sites well spaced. Beautiful area. No drinking water so we went to nearby Smiling River Campground to refill water jug. Would rate 5 stars if the campground haf water available. We will come again and reserve a riverside camp site next time.

Beautiful, spacious campsite and, while full for the holiday weekend, super quiet which was a huge relief. Pit toilets were overdue for a clean but not the worst I’ve ever seen.

No water available at campsite. Ridiculous that you pay extra for "premium" site because it's closer to the river.

One of my confirmed sites was stolen by another camper and the host said they couldn’t help remove the camper even though I had the email confirming my site and date. They did get me another site but it wasn’t the same.

Our site 9 campsite was large at the base of a small hill. The afternoons provided enough direct sun for our portable solar power. Even though the campground was full, it was quiet 10 pm to 9am.

The camper before us must have spilt gasoline because that is all my husband and I smelt the whole 2 days there. It was overwhelming! It made it extremely difficult to get any sleep at night with such a strong smell of gasoline. It made for a terrible 2 days of camping

Beautiful campground in the ponderosa pines along the magical Metolius River.

Excellent campsite although the ground had a tilt which made it a challenge to set the tent up level. Temperatures were hot but abundant shade and the cold river helped. Vault toilets were clean and well-stocked until Sunday when toilet paper ran out, later refilled in the afternoon.
