Smiling River is a beautiful campground. Dry camping, most sites are well separated from other sites, beautiful river, lovely trail along both sides of the river, 3.5 miles down-stream is a fish hatchery well worth seeing. one+ mile up-stream is the Camp Sherman store and a great Mexican restaurant "Hola".

Smiling River is a beautiful campground. We always enjoy the Camp Sherman area, even if the weather is not cooperative. Campsite was clean, camp host friendly, the area is quiet and very schenic.

The beautiful Metolius River! We saw an Osprey flying down river with a fish in it's talons, a kingfisher flying up river, a white headed woodpecker and the best of all: an otter feeding for 45 minutes right in front of our campsite.
