What Guests Are Saying
South Shore Campground at Suttle Lake is cherished by many visitors for its beautiful scenery, spacious campsites, and family-friendly atmosphere. Campers enjoy the lake for swimming, hiking, and fishing, with many returning year after year. However, concerns about road conditions, restroom cleanliness, and pest issues like yellow jackets have been noted, suggesting room for improvement in maintenance and facilities.

Good size campsites on hilly terrain. We had a great time, it appears the wind blows in the direction of the campground shoreline.

Love South Shore. I did see, however, reservations that were not occupied past the time allocated for arrival. I think the host should open those up for people looking for camping as per the guidelines. Also with that extra money they need to improve the roads as they haven't been improved just circled. Otherwise great.

Bathrooms could be cleaner and campsite could be picked up a little better but its a beautiful place to camp.

One of our favorites. All the waterfront campsites are great. So are the ones in the 30's that back up to the hill (if you like a bit more quiet). Central campsites are fine especially if you have a trailer. Not private but they provide quick access to the lake. The host this year is keeping things clean. Avoid the Day Use bathroom as it's over-used and it is maintined by a 3rd party, not the camp host (so it's not as clean).

We were there for three nights, and the host never came around to talk to us. The water was running at one of the faucets and wouldn’t shut off when we got there and this was still happening when we left..
The second or third day two of the bathrooms were out of toilet paper.
The garbage was overflowing for the first two days that we were there.

Campsite was spacious and nice. Peaceful setting, nice view. Enjoyed a hike along the lakeshore and a bike ride. Unfortunately, our leashed dog was attacked by two uncontrolled dogs by nearby campers resulting in a puncture wound that required treatment.
