What Guests Are Saying
Cape Perpetua campground offers a beautiful setting with clean facilities, including well-maintained bathrooms and friendly hosts. Many campers appreciate the proximity to stunning hiking trails and the peaceful sound of a nearby creek. However, some sites lack privacy, are not level, and can be affected by noise from the road and neighboring campers. Overall, it's a favorite spot for those looking to enjoy the Oregon Coast.

I was having a great time camping at Cape Perpetua Campground, my fourth year in a row to camp there...until the wind storm hit! What a traumatic experience!! All through the night I could hear trees coming down by my campsite and around the campground!! I literally feared for my life....The campground was suddenly closed the next day by the forest service, and it was time to pack up and leave as soon as possible. Thankfully the wind had died down after more than 12 hours! Wildfire smoke with ash had blown in from local fires to make it feel all the more surreal. None of this experience can be blamed on anyone, but how the hostess treated me was hard to forgive! The host was understanding and kind, but his wife was not at all!! It was like being kicked when you're down already....I hope to never encounter her again!

37 is secluded a little bit from the rest of the campground. There is a water spout close and flushing toilets not too far either. They are clean and well stocked by the camp host. The trail to the Giant spruce is right outside the camp. Lots of traffic and bugs but otherwise we had a great time.

We enjoyed our stay at Cape Perpetua. If you are looking to explore the area, right across the main highway is a beautiful scenic beach area and walking trail that takes you to Devil's Churn and Thor's Well. It was really really beautiful. The bathrooms were super clean, and we were very appreciative that handsoap was even provided! The ONLY complaint is that campsites are pretty close to the main road, not very much privacy. But since we were only there for one night, we did not mind at all. Everything else was great. Nice little stream right behind our site that was nice to listen to at night. There is also a hiking trail you can access directly from the campground, but we did not have time to check that out.

The area is very beautiful, unfortunately the night we spent there was raining. What i did not like is that some of the sites are very small and βsharedβ with someone else. They should make less sites, and give people more space and privacy! Do not go again

Cape Perpetua is an amazing and wonderful place to hike and watch the coast and tide pools. However, the campground is quite awful. We arrived at our spot (#27), took one look at the pitiful patch you are calling a campsite , and left. Truly terrible campground.

As everyone else has stated, the sites are very close together. We stayed in #5. On one side, complete privacy; on the other, there was a large opening in the bushes that looked right onto the picnic table at the next site (#4). #5 is right on a pretty creek, and there was room to set a couple chairs down there next to it. The campground host was grumpy and unpleasant, the last day he was outright rude to us. But truly this campground is Paradise! A magical forest setting, within walking distance of so many natural features, plan to stay at least 2-3 nights. A real gem, we feel fortunate to have stayed here.

We had seen this campground and known that we wouldn't enjoy it, but reserved it because of its location and federal pricing. We would not stay here again. The campsites are literally at the edge of the road and mostly quite close to one another. Upon arrival, we actually thought someone was in our site because it appeared that there were tents there. Upon further investigation, we discovered that the tent was placed touching our parking block. When we got parked and had our vehicle off the road, the back window of our trailer was 3 feet from their tent. They had a tiny site with 2 tents and could have done nothing differently. However, they could have kept the volume of voices and music down and used appropriate language. But that could have happened anywhere.

Just such a nice place. Cleanest bathrooms I've seen at a campsite. Great location for exploring the area.
