What Guests Are Saying
Cape Perpetua campground offers a beautiful setting with clean facilities, including well-maintained bathrooms and friendly hosts. Many campers appreciate the proximity to stunning hiking trails and the peaceful sound of a nearby creek. However, some sites lack privacy, are not level, and can be affected by noise from the road and neighboring campers. Overall, it's a favorite spot for those looking to enjoy the Oregon Coast.

This is probably my new favorite campground in Oregon! Doug was the best site host we have ever met, very attentive and friendly and everything is kept very clean. The campsite was fantastic and we had such an incredible weekend! Thank you!!

Delightful campground along a small creek. I was in a small trailer. it was very hard to get it level.

Campsite was basically just a parking spot. Perfect for RV’s, but wouldn’t recommend with a tent

Overall the campground was good. Our site #5 was good. The road within the campground is ridiculously stupid. Huge open potholes everywhere. Almost damaged our trailer. We will not be returning until the roads are repaired!

A wonderful campground. Very nice hiking trails nearby. We hiked up to Cape Perpetua Lookout, a CCC-built shelter that served as a lookout during WWII. This is not to be missed. There is a road to it for people who don’t wish to hike there. Also visited the tide pools, Thor’s Well and the Visitor Center. The town of Yachats is great very small but interesting. We enjoyed the brewpub. Our only dislike was the rv sites that are pretty un-level, common for Forest Service campgrounds. But, you can’t beat the serene creek running right next to the campsites. And the campground host was wonderful and helpful.

A beautiful, well kept camp ground. Most of the spaces are rather small and not very secluded, I'm the future I'd recommend spaces 13-19 which are further back from the road and seem more private.
The walk to the visitor's center is beautiful and easy, and the center itself has some great exhibits to check out, along with friendly and knowledge rangers.. I also recommend the St. Perpetua trail which is strenuous but totally worth it.
No Verizon cell service beyond the campsite entrance.

The surrounding landscape and hiking trails are beautiful. Some of the campsites sites #28 all the way to the Group site at the end are in need of some TLC. Our site (#28) had half of its driveway for the trailer eroded away and wasn’t level and sketchy, in addition to it being pitched downhill like #30. Others designated for tents near the Group site were so boggy and muddy that families had to put tarps and tree branches down due to the sheer amount of mud.
For $30/night for dry camping without hookups, I expected better and felt price gouged.

We were very impressed with the cleanliness and layout of the campground.

Showers and a place without gravel to set the tent would have made this experience a 5 star :) but the site is beautiful and the location ideal.

Jennifer & Brian were the best camp hosts we have ever experienced. Also the lookout at Camp P was awesome! We will be back.
