What Guests Are Saying
Cape Perpetua campground offers a beautiful setting with clean facilities, including well-maintained bathrooms and friendly hosts. Many campers appreciate the proximity to stunning hiking trails and the peaceful sound of a nearby creek. However, some sites lack privacy, are not level, and can be affected by noise from the road and neighboring campers. Overall, it's a favorite spot for those looking to enjoy the Oregon Coast.

This is a wonderful campground. We try to book this campground whenever we can because of its location and amenities. Not all sites are the same. We had site 34 and it was tiny, exposed, and rock hard in many places so we couldn’t hammer pegs into the ground. We also bottomed out in a RAV4 entering the drive way. This will be a nightmare for lower clearance cars. For an RV, it’s probably nice. For a tent camper, not so nice. Wish we weren’t charged the same amount as sites that had probably 10 times the amount of space and privacy as our site.

The campsite was just the right size for a large tent. The facilities were very clean and the campground was quiet.

Wonderful campground. Very quiet. Beautiful surroundings. This was a perfect spot for us to explore the mid Oregon coast.

This campsite is one of our absolute favorites. The bathrooms were so well kept and the campground, campers were all respectful and clean. One thing that did bother us this time, is that when we arrived, we unknowingly staked our tent right into a pile of dog poop that was left by the previous guest. It was terrible start to our trip, but we cleaned it up, then cleaned our stakes, and the rest of our stay was awesome. During our last night there, I woke up to a dog bark at 4am, but fell back asleep. As we packed up the next morning, we found a new fresh pile of dog poop in our area. It's a bummer that dog owners are not cleaning up after themselves. While our stay at Cape Perpetua campground was amazing as always, the dog poop was a bummer. We'll still reserve our spot for next summer though! The hikes to the beach and the St. Perpetua trail were the best - we have a 9 and 11 year old who loved every moment. We love the trips to Yachats for firewood or trinkets at the hardware store. Thank you for everything!

This campground is in a beautiful area with hiking close by, but the campground is okay, not great. The sites are situated along a narrow road with little privacy. Most are parallel parking on the road with tables/grills right up front. Sites near the back of the campground are back-in and have more privacy and separation. I was in Site #8 with friends on #9. Sites #7 and #6 were literally right next to us- you could not camp in #7 without impacting #8. Site #9 was much better- back in and table/grill in the back and away from others.

This is by far one of the best campgrounds I have been to and probably the best for camping on the Oregon coast. We have been going annual for the last 4 years. Camp host are always friendly. The bathrooms are clean and most sites are on the creek that runs through the campground. Trails alongside the camp lead to the tide pools, visitor center and the giant spruce. It’s just a great place to camp and relax! Enjoy

Very nice campground with multiple hiking trails. If you're camping in an RV or trailer with an ammonia cycle refrigerator make sure to bring leveling blocks or devices as many of the sites are not very level, and you fridge will have trouble working correctly.
