I've had a permanent site at Shady Brook for 2 seasons now, and I can honestly say it's one of the best decisions I’ve made. This place has truly become a home away from home. The staff is always friendly, professional, and quick to help with anything you need. From the first day, they made me feel like part of a community, not just another camper.

The grounds are beautifully maintained, with clean facilities, well-kept sites, and plenty of space to relax. Whether you’re here for the weekend or the whole season, it’s clear the team takes pride in keeping everything in top shape. The amenities—like the pool, playgrounds, walking trails, and event nights—are a big bonus and help make every visit feel like a mini vacation.

What really stands out is the sense of community among seasonal campers. It’s the kind of place where neighbors look out for each other, share laughs around a fire, and genuinely enjoy being part of the same campground family.

If you're thinking about a seasonal or permanent site, I highly recommend Shady Brook. It’s peaceful, welcoming, and well-run—exactly what you want in a long-term camping spot.

Coming into the campground Dave, the owner, was very welcoming and directed us to our cabin, making us feel like part of the family. The cabin was roomy and it had all the amenities you’d expect (microwave, fridge, TV, AC). The cabin and the bathhouse were very clean and the staff that we met was friendly as well. We highly enjoyed the outdoor canopy area attached to the cabin, as it did rain one of the days, but we could have family and friends sitting outside at the picnic tables and still enjoy the outdoors. Everyone we encountered was kind and we even joined in on a game of corn hole and ladder golf with some of the other campers. Greatly appreciated that we could take our dog with us as well since there are nice wooded trails for all to enjoy. We had a great trip and will definitely return again!

Just got home from weekend at Shady Brook Camp Ground, will definitely go back David makes you feel like family and so do other campers, cabin was so nice and camp ground is so peaceful, nice hiking trail

Such an amazing experience, Dave comes and checks in on you regularly. Cabin was spotless, bathrooms are clean. Will definitely recommend to friends and family and come back again.

There are few places in this world that still have the customer service that this camp ground offer. Dave goes above and beyond every day to insure his guest have everything they need. He also has a wealth of the knowledge of the area and is always willing to help you plan your day and give very good directions. The other campers are also very friendly and willing to help doesn't matter if you are a permanent site or a weekend camper. I highly recommend this campground and will be back many times.
