What Guests Are Saying
Buckaloons campground offers a beautiful, clean, and spacious environment with large campsites and well-maintained restrooms. Visitors appreciate the friendly hosts and the peaceful atmosphere, with access to outdoor activities like canoeing and kayaking. Some minor issues, such as limited hot water in showers and a need for maintenance on picnic tables and fire pits, were noted, but overall, guests enjoyed their stay and plan to return.

This was our first time to Buckaloons on the recommendation of a friend and we will be going back! It is a beautiful area with flat wooded sites, close to the river, and the cleanest bathroom facilities I have ever seen at a campground. Thank you for a wonderful fall camping experience.

Great site. Very nice hikes close by. Boat ramp right at campsite. Nice bathrooms, not as clean as those at Willow Bay on The Allegheny Reservoir. Very quiet campground.

We have been going to Buckaloons for 22 years and my wife family has been going for 56 years. The sites are so nice. Everyone follows the rules or the camp host make sure everything runs smoothly.. between the 2 creeks and the river fishing is always an adventure for the kids!!

I loved camping here and the proximity to the Allegheny River. Sites are large and far apart in nice woody settings. Walking down to the river with morning coffee was delightful. The trail around the camping perimeter was a great find-a flowing wide creek along part of it. Will return when warmer to kayak the river. Self check in, one central nice bathhouse with good showers and smaller, simpler ones scattered around sites. Need to drive to hiking and waterfalls. Fall foliage stunning.
