We were a little concerned at first. When we made the reservation there was only a few sites left. We thought that maybe all the good sites were already taken. We were pleasantly surprised to find those left over sites very much to our satisfaction.

I enjoy coming to this campsite. The sites are well maintained, are mostly wooded and have plenty of space, and it is just far enough away from home to feel like a mini vacation.

Nice convenient location right off route 6 and 62. You do get some road noise, but quiets down after dinner. One point to make. the 5-6 "speed bumps" in the campground loop are about 8-10' long. If you don't realize it, and you treat them as a normal 18" speed bump, you will "wack" your lower hitch on the pavement. Yes, there are "big" signs that say speed bump, but the yellow paint on the actual bump is worn off.

Stayed here after our reservation at Red Bridge was canceled unexpectedly. Had a double site (51) which was plenty of space for our 2 families. Facilities were clean and sufficient. Location of campground close to lots of hikes, sights, and even a brewery. We did hear a fair amount of traffic noise, but it did die down overnight. Overall, enjoyed our stay.
