What Guests Are Saying

Hearts Content Recreation Area offers a beautiful, quiet campground in an old-growth forest, with well-kept sites that provide privacy and amenities like picnic tables and fire pits. The staff is friendly and maintains cleanliness, particularly in the bathrooms. While there are some concerns about a stump at site 9 and the availability of firewood, overall, visitors enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and numerous hiking opportunities.

Great, remote, quiet campground. Disappointed that the reservoir was drained, lowering the water levels, but still great.

Really a good time but need to put something on the road for dust control! Make some sites electric. Power lines run through the park. Would be full all week not just the weekends.

Wonderful location. Amazing view of the sky by group camp. Wood available to purchase at camp. The one loop trail I attempted was terribly marked, had to turn around. Maybe another orienteering trail, but are they all that way? Would return for sure.

The sites were large and we were surprised how many sites were occupied for this time of year. Will definitely go back.

I don't know what it is about this campground, but this is the lowest key area we have ever visited. Quiet hours start at 10pm, but everyone is settled in and quiet by 7pm usually. It seems like everyone that uses this campground is there for the same reason- private sites, very little amenities, and a quiet camping experience. Most campers that do use generators, have the very quiet style and use them very sparingly. Our family really enjoys being able to walk to three different hiking trails from our campsite. The playground and loop road through the campground is a nice and safe place for the kids to play and ride their bikes without having to worry about traffic. The campground hosts are always accommodating and very helpful.
