I arrived 1.5 hours early and was told to leave. I traveled with a refrigerator full of food and wanted to get hooked up to electric, so I went to another campground close by. They welcomed me early so I stayed there instead. The host at Red Bridge was rude and belligerent. I will never book a stay at Red Bridge again.

Our first time at Red Bridge, we visited there earlier to pick out a nice site. We liked site 3. Some weeks later we reserved this site. We showed up for our stay at 2 pm only to find it occupied with a trailer and motorcycles. We contacted the host and she confirmed our reservation and she would have asked the party to leave but they were not there and she said she new who it was and they would be at least 2 hours before they return. The host offered us another site which we had no choice but to take. Our reservation was site 3, 8/2- 8/5 which was marked at the site with our name on it. The hoist said that when the party returned she would have them removed. It never happened. When the party returned to site 3, i had a talk with them to tell them what i thought. He said the hoist never asked him to leave because we found another spot.

Site 2. Labeled as a “premium” site. No idea why. Only electric hookup. Site base seemed to be sand with a few stones tossed around. Tracked sand into camper easily. Fire pit seemed like it was for a handicap site. Real tall. On the plus side, site was large, deep and spacious. Fairly private. Decently close to bathroom/shower facilities which were nice and clean. We didn’t use them. Also close access to Kinzua valley rail trail.

The area was beautiful and the campground was very convenient. Certain campgrounds can get to the lake easily but others are very difficult to walk to. Overall a great experience, would recommend checking out the stars at night, they are amazing. The rimrock overlook is a great way to take in the entirety of the area
