Red Bridge Campground is a beloved spot for many campers, praised for its beautiful surroundings, spacious and clean sites, and attentive hosts. Visitors enjoy the proximity to fun local activities, hiking trails, and clean facilities, making it an ideal place for a relaxed getaway. Some concerns include noise from loud music and generators, as well as issues with reservation management and accessibility to the shoreline, but overall, guests look forward to returning.

No hot water in the showers and no heat in them. Yes my wife and l tried them both. If it was my first time there l would not return or recommend it to anybody. Fire ring also needs brought up the bank and not down where the water runs off and into. Did tell the host about the showers.

It was basically what I expected. We didn't have electric on site but creature comforts of a shower and a bathroom close by was nice. The non-shower house bathrooms...maybe I missed something but there was no light on those upscale outhouses....I had to have my buddy shine his high beams from the truck towards the stall so I could do my paperwork. Having a water spout in close proximity was nice when using my platypus gravity works dirty / clean bag filter and to use campsuds to clean mess kits. One thing I wasn't expecting in late fall was for the dam to have been closed up and the bay to be dried up....made my fishing license I purchased for spare time between hunting useless. Stop by and say hi to Peggy at Paul's Trading Post down the road! Kane was a quaint town and close proximity of the campsite

We loved being in Red Bridge and the Allegany Forest. The campsites are huge, quite private, and many of them are on the water - which wasn't there when we arrived since the reservoir had been drained for the season. Which was pretty disappointing. Knowing that before we arrived would have been helpful. However, we loved the park, the hiking, and biking. There's a bike trail less than a mile from the campsite that goes to Westline - 12 miles round trip. It's the most beautiful bike trail we've ever been on. We'll defiantly be going back to Red Bridge again!

We had a great time and this was our second stay at Red Bridge Campground. The fall colors were brilliant and we even had a little sunshine towards the end of our vacation. Our first evening some people on another site were playing loud music for a couple hours straight. Luckily for us , we liked the tunes they were playing so we could tolerate it. Guess it could have been worse. So, the last full day we were there, we could hear something running at the other side of the campground. As the afternoon progressed, the sound got closer and louder. Finally, there was the source of the noise, a young man riding a golf cart with a leaf blower running blowing leaves off the grass on the side of the road. He did both sides of the entire loop. We had never seen this done at other campgrounds and were quite baffled why this was being done here at Red Bridge. We found the leaf blower noise completely unnecessary and it really took away from what would otherwise would have been a perfect day. Don't get me wrong, Red Bridge is a beautiful campground and we would stay again and we highly recommend it.

I called in the morning because my brother said he didn’t have electric since 8:30 the night before. The lady said she was aware but couldn’t tell me when it would come back on. She called back about 9:00 and said she was told by the utility company that it should be back on around 11:30, so I said great it will take us 3 hours to get there so it should be back on. We got there around 12:00 and went to the cabin to unload our stuff even though the power was not on. The park host came by and told us that it was going to be out probably for several days and it would be too cold for us to stay. It was up to us to make the decision, so we decided to leave. I called on Tuesday Oct. 17 to 877-444-6777 and talked to Lee and explained that we wanted to get a refund for $249.00 because we were unable to stay. She said she would send it on to the company that takes care of the Red Bridge camp grounds. We have not received any response - - - and it has been 2 weeks since I called them. There should not be any dispute regarding the refund because it was not our fault.
Please respond to this comment so we know if we will be credited or if we should contact our credit card company to stop payment on this transaction.
Thank you.

We loved this cozy, comfortable, clean cabin and would have given it 5 stars if it didn't absolutely reek of cleaning products. We aired it out 12 hours a day for the 3 days we were there and couldn't get it out. For a lot of us, this causes headaches, migraines or allergies and I wish an unscented or more neutral product could be used. It can really wreck someone's vacation. NOTE: I contacted recreation.gov, preferring to address it directly and not in a review, but they directed me here. I'd be happy to amend my review if someone could consider this issue.

The facility is great with one exception, the fire rings are far to high!
