What Guests Are Saying
Red Bridge Campground is a beloved spot for many campers, praised for its beautiful surroundings, spacious and clean sites, and attentive hosts. Visitors enjoy the proximity to fun local activities, hiking trails, and clean facilities, making it an ideal place for a relaxed getaway. Some concerns include noise from loud music and generators, as well as issues with reservation management and accessibility to the shoreline, but overall, guests look forward to returning.

We have camped at Red Bridge in the Allegheny National Forest 3 times so far in 2021...once in May, once in June and once in July. We usually have a great experience. However, when we were there in May, the first loop shower house had EXTREMELY hot water in the showers with no way to adjust them. The Host on that loop (right next to the shower house) was informed about the HOT water. In June, only a week or two later, I went to the OTHER shower house just in case Loop 1's hadn't been fixed yet and it was perfect. In our July trip, my husband said "Of course it's been fixed by now", so I went back to Loop 1's shower and it was painful it was so hot. My husband took a meat thermometer in and recorded at least 120 degrees for the shower temp...5 minutes of 120 degrees can scald you.
As long as I'm bitchin', we were there during a July storm...lots of wind. There are several large, dead branches hanging over a lot of the campsites which need cut off before someone or a vehicle is hurt/damaged. And some money should be spent gravelling almost every campsite to avoid sloppy, muddy messes when it rains. In spite of my complaints, Red Bridge is a good campgound and we plan to continue to go there...I just don't want to get killed or scalded!!

We’ve stayed at this campground before and had a good experience. I know the weather was bad and that’s not the fault of the campsite. However, when we got there our campsite #22 was already pretty wet and marshy. When it rained we had a small creek flowing through our site and eventually had some standing water covering the entire site. I walked around and didn’t notice that there was much standing water on other sites. I just think that this site could use some work on the drainage issues.

We love this campground and the area around Red Bridge. This visit, however, the pit toilets really could have used a clean-out. I felt sorry for those camping in sites adjacent to the stench.

Have camped at many of the ANF sites. This is the best of all of them.
