Red Bridge Campground offers a clean and well-maintained environment with spacious and private campsites, making it a popular choice for campers. Many reviews highlight the friendly and helpful campground hosts, along with clean bathrooms and good access to local attractions like biking trails and scenic views. However, some guests have reported issues with host interactions and inconsistent amenities, such as cold showers and high fire rings, which detracted from their overall experience.

Great campground. I visit it at least once each year. I enjoy the privacy of the sites, easy access to fresh water, kayaking, and the wildlife. What I do not like is the intrusion of generator noise throughout the day. Often there are several campers who have these obnoxious devices that detract considerably from the peace and quiet. Campers who need to have electrical access should get a site with hookup and not force the rest of us to have to accomodate to their selfishness. I think that there should perhaps be a loop that is specifically designated for campers with generators so they only disturb each other with the noise and fumes.

2nd time I stayed there. Tightly run campground. Well maintained. I have a CT125 trail bike and love to explore the many forest roads. Found lots of old oil wells and equipment. A time long forgotten.

Love this park. Big sites. Quiet. Wooded & beautiful. Even the obnoxious generator campers that let them run all day & the crazy people that let their dogs run loose can’t ruin this place for me. We love the big trail across the road too. Probable the prettiest bike trail we’ve ever ridden.

It was a short, overnight stay on Labor Day Weekend, and our 1st time at Red Bridge. My wife and I tent camped on site 57, a walk-in site down a slight hill from the parking area for the walk-in sites. The site was mostly level with a provided picnic table and fire pit. Even though there had been some heavy rain the day before, the site was relatively dry and not muddy. A small brook ran behind the site. My only main critique with the site was the fire pit. It was approximately 4 ft tall, so if you had wanted a fire to sit around and watch the flames, that wouldn't have been possible. We decided not to bother with a fire. We stayed at Willow Bay a couple of weeks earlier and our site there had the same type of fire pit. Some industrious individuals had filled it about 2/3rds of the way with rocks, which made it useful for cooking and ambiance. We weren't that ambitious. Perhaps Allegany Site Management could look into filling the tall fire pits at Red Bridge in a similar manner.
We also fished at the Red Bridge bank fishing area and got into a couple of nice fish, The area is wheelchair accessible and at the waters edge is a metal barrier, I expect is to prevent wheelchairs from rolling into the water, or small children falling in. My only problem with it was that the barrier is too high at about 4 ft. making setting a pole difficult. In my opinion, it would still serve its purpose at 2 to 2.5 ft and allow for easier fishing. It is a great spot though that has had a lot of fish attracting structures installed in the area.
If you're a fisherman and need bait, tackle, firewood, etc. you can't beat Paul's Trading Post just up the road towards Kane. The place is just packed with any tackle you might need to fish Kinzua including live minnows and worms. Just up the road on the right from Paul's is Bob's Trading Post. More of a restaurant than a trading post but serves amazing food and ice cream with outdoor seating available under the front porch. HIGHLY recommended!
