The campground is located at the bottom of the dam. My site 9 was advertised as a 40ft site, however, my 40ft fifth wheel was hanging over the back by 4 feet to fit on the pad. There was adequate spacing between the sites and it was a relatively quiet campground. They had 30amp service but no water on the site. There are several places in the campground to fill your tanks. The Great Allegheny Passage trail runs right next to the campground. We took a 20-mile roundtrip bike ride to the Pinkerton bridges and tunnel. We also took a 30-minute ride to Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater house. Good Verizon cellar signal, no T-Mobile. We camped at Outflow Camping in a Fifth Wheel

It was nice except for all the barking dogs.

We enjoy having a campground so close (literally at the end of the entrance road) to the Great Allegheny Passage (GAP) bike path that runs from Pittsburgh to Cumberland MD and on to Washington DC on the C&O Canal Towpath. The charming village of Confluence is very close with an excellent bike shop, multiple stores and restaurants.

Check out the GAP bike trail from Confluence to Ohiopyle AND from Confluence to at least the Pinkerton Tunnel. They are about equidistance apart in walking/ biking but ages apart in feel. To the north it gets crowded and 'touristy'. To the south, more wild and wonderful with the bridge and tunnel being cool and enjoyable destinations! Take a flashlight or headlamp.

Our second stay here and it was great for us. Right by the GAP trail and the town of Confluence. The ice cream shop right around the corner is great. No T Mobile service in the campground but a short ride up to the dams and all is well.

We need to be able to register on site. By computer or by cell phone is to cumbersome.
If our travels bring us there at 5:00 PM we need a process to register on site.
The campground is well managed for the dollars you have to spend.
