About Outflow Camping

The Outflow Camping Area is located on Youghiogheny River Lake in the heart of the Laurel Highlands. The lake spans the Mason-Dixon Line between Pennsylvania and Maryland. Clean waters, forested mountains and steep-sided valleys provide an unsurpassed setting for recreational opportunities.

This park was one of my best COE stays. The Camp Hosts were very helpful and friendly. Other campers said Hi, come join us. I was in site 21, electric only. Out my door, I had a table, fire pit and lots of grass. Close to the bathroom and shower house. Very family Friendly.

  • Early checkout will not be refunded on holiday weekend reservations,.
  • All reservations and changes will need to be made through www.recreation.gov or by calling 1-877-444-6777
  • Reservations must be made online or by calling the 1-877-444-6777
  • This is the Outflow Campground at Youghiogheny Lake, not the Tionesta Rec Area Campground at the Outflow at Tionesta Lake
  • Alcohol is prohibited
  • The release warning siren from hydropower plant will be heard in the campground
  • All sites are 100% reservable
  • Maximum of two tents or one tent and one trailer allowed per site
  • Don't Move Firewood: Protect your forests from tree-killing pests by buying your firewood locally and burning it on-site. Visit Dontmovefirewood.org for further information.
