This site isn't super large but it is plenty large enough for a car and sizable tent. One really good thing is that if you don't like walking very far to the bathroom in the middle of the night, this campsite is right next to out the bathroom building. While you're there, you will probably hear a hum and that hum is coming from the generators on the river. Just a couple hundred yards away. It's kind of like a white noise. The bathrooms were clean and in good shape, as were the showers. If you want to be near that building site 42, 43, 44, and 45 are all a very short walking distance away from the entrance.

This was my first stop Riding from Cumberland to Pittsburgh. Everyone I encountered seemed very pleasant. Facilities were very clean and well maintained. I would definitely camp here again!

The Great Allegheny Passage trail is adjacent to the park and runs next to the river. Lovely biking/running.

We were doing a portion of the GAP trail on our bikes from West Newton to Meyersdale. Outflow Campground provided a good stopping point just over 1/2 way. The hiker biker campsite was great. It was pretty easy to find off the GAP. We were hammock camping, so it was nice that there were hammock poles set up. They were a bit close together, but we were able to make them work.

Beautiful setting along the river. Probably the most well-kept public campground I have been at in my almost 50 years of camping. Restrooms/showers showing some age but were kept very clean. The only down side is the picnic table can't be moved so you need a cover if you want shade. You could tell who was an experienced camper at that campground and who were the newbies. Filling up your water tanks wasn't easy. We lucked out and had a water spigot close enough to our spot we could fill up after parking, but not the case for 90% of the sites.
