Outflow Camping

Have camped in this campground during May - early October months many for many years, many times per year. The campground is adjacent to the Great Allegheny Passage bike trail.

There are two problems that arise during some visits. During summer months, on most evenings there is little to no breeze in the campground. Air quality can be very poor owing to campfire smoke. Unfortunately, some people burn trash in their campfires, which worsens the air quality problem considerably. The campground needs signage, perhaps on the bath house doors, that requests that campers refrain from burning trash in campfires.

The second problem is that some RV campers rent tent sites in the no generators loop, and then proceed to run their generators. This problem arises mainly on weekends, when the campground is most occupied.

Campsite was clean. Water access was very easy. Quiet and relaxing. One of my favs.

Like how the bike trail connects to the campground and the fishing is right there close too , also the camp ground is kept up very nice and the camp ground host is a very nice guy and very helpful , I would highly recommend this camp ground .

Terry was a great host, he was very helpful getting us set up in the group campsite for bikers. This was a great location and the facilities were very clean.

I won’t go back to Outflow over July 4th again because of the people setting off fireworks in the campground next door. We specifically picked a state park because fireworks aren’t allowed there and our dogs are afraid of fireworks. But others weren’t restricted and it was awful for the dogs.

Camping was good but I paid twice for because I forgot to enter my senior lifetime pass. I canceled the 2nd night when I discovered I paid full price and reserved and paid again using the discount. I still have not received credit for the cancellation

Great location along GAP Trail. Clean and well maintained. My only gripe are the showers that require a press every 20 seconds to keep the water flowing. The temperature and pressure were good.

A beautiful campgrounds-very well maintained. The sites were relatively close to each other but the gravel parking area are huge. I especially liked how close the river was. Non-campers are able to drive through and access the river so I imagine it could get quite busy.

Great campground situated on the Youghiogheny river. Spacious semi shaded, clean bathrooms and quiet! We stayed for two nights and enjoyed going to Ohiopyle to see some waterfalls. We also took a bike ride along the Allegheny bike passage.
