The facilities were very nice. But the tent pads were gravel in the tent only area, a softer material would have been better. The showers and bathrooms were very nice. Unfortunately, we were back by a fence that had a private campsite on the other side and it was Friday night and they were having a large party. They did get quiet after 10 pm.

Camping pads do not accommodate tenters- can't pound stakes into the pad

Advanced, online only reservations required in an area where I had no service. As a cyclist camping with a hammock, there was no way of knowing which sites accommodate hammocks. Park host had a hot spot so I could register, but hammock supports in hike/bike area were too close together to use my hammock and tarp. Probably a great place to park an RV for a night if you have Starlink. Bathroom and shower facilities were pretty good.

Great location to explore Ohiopyle and the Great Allegany Passage bike trail. Typical gravel parking space for the camper van. Very clean and quiet. We could hear the dam water and see the stars very well. The dam water release odor remined me of the salt water marshes along the ocean, pungent.

Pads were designed for non-tenters. You can hardly pound stakes in and if you do get them in the ground, it's difficult to extract them.

Nice campground, large and level spots. I used it as a base camp for filming nature videos.
You can see some video of the campground and the surrounding areas in my Vlog.

Kind and informative host, thank you! Also, all or most of the LED lights that can be distracting to tent campers were turned off during sleeping hours. Not sure if that's a policy, happenstance, or otherwise, but it's appreciated! Facilities were adequate and clean.
