Great location! Right off the bike trail, and fishing is right there. Price is reasonable, But there are very few full hookup sites.
The nearby town is slower paced and less crowded then Ohio Pyle.

This state park campground is in an amazing location for campers, fishing, kayakers, white water rafters, boaters, hikers, bicyclists, tourists, and the list goes on and on. It's a great central location for all the aforementioned things and more. This campground is well kept and is not crowded. It does get filled up on major holidays but your RV awning or your dining canopy isn't smack up against your neighbors equipment. You don't feel like sardines. If your family has never seen the actual beginning of a river, then this is a great place to see one. I am 64 years old and have been coming here all my life. The cost still fits the wallet very well and the beauty remains the same. If you run out of anything, not to worry. The town of Confluence, Pa. is just across the river.

I enjoyed a clean, comfortable, peaceful stay at Outflow. I had my bicycle and bicycled the GAP trail northwest to Ohiopyle one day an southeast to Meyersdale the other day. It helped tremendously that the weather was absolutely perfect for late October, sunny and in the 70's. Also there was a nice Harvest festival in the town of Confluence. I recommend this campground.

Electrical Box surged and blew. Took about an hour and they were able to reset the main breaker and then we were fine. We loved the campground hosts and talked to them for hours over several interactions. I had purchased the wrong size propane tank cover and hated to trow it away so I was trying to sell it for $10 (Fantastic deal - never used). Unfortunately, I didn't know you were not allowed to sell things on federal property. It never crossed my mind. The ranger actually wrote me a citation. Really?

I have been both a hiker biker camper and a drive-in tent-only camper.I enjoyed my visits immensely! The amenities are outstanding.
Super clean showers and bathrooms! My suggestion is: I would like to see a much larger hiker biker area, or in addition to the present area, establish another tent-only area perhaps behind the pavilion and the other bathroom. The existing area can get rather crowded.
I am a solo biker and on one occasion 3 bikers came later in the day and took over the nearest picnic table and the surrounding area with their gear, leaving me no choice but to hibernate to my tent to prepare my meals.

Clean, restrooms, friendly host. Hammock poles are a great feature in the bike camping area, they would be better if they were a couple feat more apart.

Beautiful campground! Quiet, clean, and close to G.A.P. Bike trail between Cumberland and Pittsburgh. Small town of Confluence is nearby, with all necessities.
Large hiker/biker area, as well as basic camp sites. Large shower/restrooms always clean are only a short walk from all sites.
