What Guests Are Saying
Outflow Camping is a well-maintained and clean campground located next to the river, offering large, flat sites and easy access to the Great Allegheny Passage bike trail, making it ideal for biking and fishing enthusiasts. Guests appreciate the friendly and helpful staff, clean facilities, and the scenic surroundings, which include nearby attractions like Fallingwater and Ohiopyle. While some campers noted issues with gravel tent pads and the need for advanced reservations, the overall experience is positive, with many expressing a desire to return.

We have been going to the Yough for 50 years. We enjoy the lake for swimming, boating, fishing, etc. It has the clear water that you can see down into. Beautiful lake. Nice small town feeling. This place has not changed since we began coming here. This is our second home.

Great area, good fishing, rafting available and you will meet some fine people, boating and swimming available. Nice bike trail 11miles to the falls at Ohiopyle state park.

Lots of activities to do nearby. Hiking, biking, fishing, kayak and raft, swimming, boating, and lost of little restaurants with good food and prices. Campground is clean, quite, and good bath house. Campsites are level and easy to get into. The only negative we have is the fire pit rings are too high. It is hard to get pie irons to cook evenly.

Definitely missed having the office open in 2019. Don’t like having to reserve online and not having any walk up sites. Definitely need more full hook up sites. I have suggested for several years that they should have activities for children ....movie nights would be great’. Nature days for adults and children. Children’s game days.
Sites needed to be upgraded with more
gravel
Would be great to have wood available for purchase instead of having to go into town to purchase.

Registering a campsite was a nightmare! You can't register at the physical site; you must use the Internet beforehand! AT&T did not have service at the campsite, so I could not register onsite with a smartphone. The Outflow campsite has a strong hiker/biker intent, so it is nonsense to ban onsite registrations. You should get ZERO stars for this tragedy.
The good side of it is that the hosts went out of their way to help you find a way to register. They were persistent and friendly and got the job done within the rules. The hosts get 5 stars at least. The site itself was fine, the neighbors were friendly, and the facilities were clean. I'll go back next time I bike the GAP trail, if I can register. Some extra perks are that there is a lake beach nearby, but up a steep hill, there is an ice cream shop very close, and there are kayak rentals nearby. I think I saw a decent restaurant close by as well. The site is super-conveniently located.

Many people have dogs as pets and the campground permits them however we observed dogs urinating around campsites etc. dog feces being left in places where our children and grandchildren would play etc. This is unacceptable.

Love the campground. Not too big. Great location. I regret that the campground closes so early in the year when the weather is still excellent for camping and partaking in local events.
