The area around the Aitch Pavilion is beautiful. There are plenty of picnic tables and parking. The electric outlets are helpful, but bring an extension cord. Everyone at the picnic enjoyed walking on the fishing dock and watching the boats come and go.
The grass around the pavilion was left to grow too high before it was cut and the cut grass was not picked up so it stuck to our shoes and the children couldn't play in the grassy area without getting dead grass on them. The bathrooms were not emptied lately, so they smelled badly, and they were dirty. I took gloves and Clorox wipes to clean the toilets.

We held a fishing tournament with around 60 participants and the Aitch Pavilion was used as our "base". It is centrally located in the lake and worked out perfect for our event.

We reserved the Aitch pavilion to use as tournament headquarters for a 2 day musky tournament. It worked out exceptionally well.

PARKING: !!!VERY IMPORTANT!!!: Reserving this shelter DOES NOT guarantee parking. Parking is first-come, first-serve in adjacent lots. To ensure everyone in your party can park on the day of your reservation, be sure your group arrives early in the day and maximizes carpooling , ESPECIALLY on busy weekends. Parking in undesignated spaces (i.e. grass, areas lining parking lots, etc.) may result in citation. |

RESTROOMS: Vault restrooms are located approximately 75 yards from this shelter. Portable toilet rentals are permitted at discretion of park ranger staff. Portable toilets may not be placed more than 24 hours in advance of your reservation and must be removed upon departure. Please call 814-658-3405 x. 0 to request permission at least 30 days prior to your reservation date. |

DUMPSTERS: Trash cans are not located at the shelter, but dumpsters are located in adjacent parking lots for your convenience. |

CLEANUP: Prior to your departure, your group is responsible for cleaning up the shelter area. Remove all decorations, directional signs, tape, tacks, confetti, food, and other trash from the grills, floors, overhead rafters, posts, etc. Return picnic tables to their original positions underneath the shelter. Shelters will be inspected upon your departure and violators will be prosecuted. |

DECORATIONS: Permanent fasteners, such as nails, staples, wire, etc., that are difficult to remove and may damage the shelter CANNOT be used to affix or hang decorations. Thumb tacks, tape, and other easily removable fasteners are encouraged. Reservation holder is responsible for any damages to facility. |

SPECIAL EVENTS: You are REQUIRED to request a special event permit at least 60 days in advance of your reservation if your event includes, but is not limited to, any of the following: 1. You are setting up a large event tent, entertainment group (i.e. band), bounce house, portable toilets, or other structure that sits outside of the footprint of the shelter, 2. Your event attendance well exceeds the capacity of the shelter, 3. Your event involves vendors, fundraising, food sales, or the exchange of money on government property.
