Seven Points Campground in PA is praised for its beautiful, well-maintained sites and excellent amenities, including clean bathrooms and friendly staff. Visitors enjoyed various activities, such as kayaking on Raystown Lake and biking on well-kept trails. While some noted issues with restroom accessibility and noise from nearby campers, the overall experience was positive, highlighting the campground as a favorite destination for relaxation and outdoor activities.

We stayed 3 nights at Meadows Campground, a small loop away from the lakefront, site 72. It was quiet. Less shady sites than the Point. Meadows bathrooms were small with a couple of showers, clean but not as nice as the bathrooms at the Point. Meadows was close by the Raytown Lake Visitor’s Center with several exhibits and a nice souvenir shop. Outside was a short nature walk down then back up the hill which we enjoyed with our dogs, as well as a nice frisbee golf course.

We spent 13 enjoyable days at Seven Points (SP) COE campground on Raystown Lake in south central Pennsylvania, an hour south of State College. There are 6 separate campgrounds at SP and we stayed in 3 of the 6 during our stay there. Each of the campgrounds featured electric hookups but no water or sewer. The dump station near the entry of SP provided potable water hookups to fill tanks and water was available at various points throughout each campground to fill water jugs.
For the first 6 days we stayed in Point campground a large circular loop down close to the lake, our time between 2 different sites: 140 in the center the loop for 3 weekend nights and 114 on the outside of the loop up a hill from most waterfront sites for 3 weekday nights. SP was unique in our brief travels as campers were allowed to anchor their boats near their campsites on the water. Campers not on the waterfront were allowed to pass through waterfront sites to get to their boats docked nearby. In our observation, this created a sense of community access to all sites, allowing people to walk through sites, even in the middle of the campground away from the water. It was a bit disconcerting to have adults and kids pass through our site in the middle of the campground, but I’m sure the weekend crowd exacerbated the situation. We moved to the more remote site for the last part of the first week. Point bathrooms up the hill at the entry to the loop were excellent, clean with multiple hot showers.

Very nice campground that we travel to a few times each year. However, it is becoming very difficult to get a reservation through the online system. I even use an atomic clock, but at 2 seconds before 10, it deems it is too early, and at 10 on the dot, the sites are already reserved. Very frustrating, There must be an "inside secret". Still, when we do get a waterfront site, they are very nice.
I would like to recommend to that a "Pet Section" at the campgrounds would be worthwhile, as this last time, we were surrounded by barking dogs from AM to PM.

Always an enjoyable stay at 7 points. Lake side camp sites are worth a few extra $ a night
