What Guests Are Saying

The Allegheny Shelter offers a great location for gatherings with excellent facilities and beautiful views, although the playground had bee issues that affected its use. The Dogwood Shelter also features a lovely lake view and ample picnic space, though restroom access can be inconvenient. Overall, the shelters are well-maintained and popular for family events, providing a positive experience.

Allegheny Shelter was great for our Christmas in July get together, facility was excellent, very clean, great view, just a little far to the bathroom. Unfortunately, I thought he semi-private playground was going to be a big hit, and it was briefly until 2 young children were stung by bees within 5 minutes of using the slides so nobody would go near it the rest of the day. I searched for a hive but couldn't find one, newly spread mulch in one area raised suspicion that there was a ground nest which had been covered over? At any rate a great time was had but a downside with the playground.

Nice large pavilion with plenty of picnic tables. This pavilion has a view of the lake as well. There's also an uncovered deck that faces the lake. If you have kids, the playground is next door to this pavilion. Be sure to take some extension cords if you need to power up any cooking devices as the receptacles are located in on corner of the pavilion. The only negative to this spot is the public restrooms that were located at each end of the parking area were closed and locked. So you had to drive to the visitor center to access restrooms.

We held an event for approx 100 Soldiers and their family members and this shelter was perfect for the occasion. While the location was beautiful and near the water, it was also walking distance to many of the amenities Seven Points has to offer. Very clean and very beautiful.
