It is on a hill and was not as easily accessible for our wheel chair bound family members. Not sure if it was allowed but our only option was to drive up the path to unload/load the family members. Same with bathroom, except is was down a hill. I can say the rangers saw us unloading them with the vehicle parked beside the pavilion and didn't bother us. Other than that it was perfect. Large area inside, fireplace, drinking water fountain and very nice playground. Would definitely recommend it. We used it for a birthday party for our 1 year old grandson.

The shelter is convenient to restrooms and the visitor center. We've used this one for years. The water at the fountain and the spigot are never on. For $75 a day, that is something we should be able to have, even if we could just get the key to unlock the spigot. Also the grass was rather high, and after walking through it, I discovered I had been bitten over 10 times on my feet. Looks like chigger bites.

I was a little upset about not having access to the water fountain. We were not looking to drink from it, but to wash our hands and utenils. When calling the provided number, no one answered.
