What Guests Are Saying

The location of Tatman Run Picnic Shelter is highly praised, with a spacious pavilion and a playground that kids enjoy. Although the hill to the beach can be tiring, it offers a good exercise opportunity. Fishing was also a pleasant activity for visitors.

We loved the location! The pavilion was a nice size. The kids loved the playground. Going up and down the hill to get to the beach is a little tiring but good to get in the exercise! We also enjoyed fishing.

The Pennsylvania Striped Bass Assoc. has been having picnics/meetings at Tatman a couple of times a year and we really like to location and the view you have at the Tatman pavilion. There is only one thing that we found that is a little inconvenient, and that is the grill pit. The grates do not lift up out of the way to add the charcoal like some of the other locations and it can be difficult to get the charcoal where you need it. (This could be something new that was changed recently) Also it would be helpful if there was some type of can or someplace to dispose of the coals left in the grill bottom and a hand shovel or scoop to remove them. Unfortunately I understand this is probably something that you will not do because of the ignorance of some people who like to destroy things in public areas that are impossible to monitor on a regular basis, but it is an idea that we thought of.
