Other than the cold pouring rain the whole time it was great.

My family has been having our reunions here for over 20 years. This year there was not enough picnic tables, some of the picnic tables were so old that the bench seats were warped and splintered. No dumpster at the pavilion so we had to haul the garbage away. Every year southshore seems to be going downhill.

Bring a broom, Not as clean as in the past. Also there is less seating making family time more cozy.

From US 15 South, take the Lawrenceville Exit. At the bottom of the ramp, turn right onto State Route 49. Recreation Area will be on the right approxmately 5 miles.
From US 15 North, take the Lawrenceville exit. At the bottom of the ramp turn left. Recreation area will be on the right approximately 5 miles.
The South Shore Recreation Area is accessible via US 15, with the Lawrenceville exit providing direct access to State Route 49, which leads to the campground.
