About South Shore Recreation Area
South Shore Recreation Area is located on the south side of the Cowanesque Lake along State Route 49, just five miles west of Lawrenceville, Pennsylvania. The area is easily accessible from Route 15 and offers a great location for boating, picnicking and fishing.

My family has been having our reunions here for over 20 years. This year there was not enough picnic tables, some of the picnic tables were so old that the bench seats were warped and splintered. No dumpster at the pavilion so we had to haul the garbage away. Every year southshore seems to be going downhill.

Bring a broom, Not as clean as in the past. Also there is less seating making family time more cozy.
