I can easily say without any hesitation, Blue Rocks Family Campground is the Best campground in the U.S.
There is nothing negative to say. It is relaxing, family oriented, fun and plenty of activities from hiking trails to relaxing in the pool. The family that owns Blue Rocks is very kind and accommodating as well. We have been here so many times, that I lost count. We will continue to come back every season and hopefully get a seasonal site soon. Blue Rocks Family Campground is our second home.

Great place for family camping! They have pool, big and nice playground and gaming room with air hockey and billiard. They also have a cafeteria with a good quality food and coffee! Showers and bathrooms cleaned few times a day. Hike trail nearby is one of the best for beginners! They also have a tiny pond with a fountain so you can go fishing. Overall, this a most beautiful camp I ever visited in a range of 150 mi around NYC

Very hard to nevigate, "roads" are narrow, rocky (but to be expected some) and turns are too sharp for camping rigs, ours is just a 26 ft rv, i can't imagine anything bigger making it. And the major issue is the maps not matching the roads, only 2 signs directing you to lot numbers, so missing like 3/4 of them. We literally drove for 20 minutes to find it & the next day still had a bit of trouble figuring it out.
I could deal with this & not have a major issue with it, but the highly aggrivating part was: We arrived at midnight & had no way to get into the campground, was not provided a gate code or any tag that would open the gate, no reservation package left for us like most places do. We hit the call button (which says to do so for late check in) no answer. Had to Google a phone number, person who answered had no clue how to help. Got a phone call from a manager or maybe the owner, she wanted us to sit & wait for someone to show up & let us in. We had been driving for hours (as should be anticipated when traveling! So late night arrivals should NOT be unprepared for) she made it out to be our problem that we got there late. My daughter was going too arrive an hour after us & when asked how she was going to get in she literally told us to have her park outside the gates & make her walk to the site! After a few minutes of us telling her we are tired & just want to get situated, i told her the easy solution for everyone is to just give us the gate code like any other park does! She reluctantly agreed & told us we needed to come to the office in the morning to get our car tags. She was very condescending & kept complaining about how late it was & if we had checked in earlier there wouldn't be a problem. When we asked about the office hours (to get things straight in the AM) her response was its on the office door! Why would we go to the door when it is clearly not open at the time? But ok we made that work, even though it was a conflict with our schedule... the only thing that did was give us the car tag... it is not a gate opener, it a paper hang tag for the mirror. So even after you're checked in, if you leave & the office is closed you can't get back in!! I've never experienced such an unorganized & unprofessional camp site. And i ALWAYS pick the cheapest ones. We travel nearly every weekend for work, so we're simply parking & sleeping. So i can't comment on the rest of the amenities here. But getting locked out a nights is just unacceptable

We have stayed at Blue Rocks numerous times- every July since 2018. This includes 2 up coming stays for 2026.
Restrooms- They keep them clean. Alwyas wear shower shoes just because, but the staff has offerings for a handicap/ family friendly shower and mens/ womens facilities.
Spots- We have a 37 ft travel trailer. It takes some driving to get it into our spot, but i also knew that buying my trailer. Thats an ish-me if you will. Be polite to your neighbors and youll be surprised how it really opens the experience at the camp ground.
Food- Woodies is amazing. The food is excellent and ice cream is even better.
Prices in camp store- I needed and extra poo line extension for the full hook ups. The prices in the camp store were really fair. Even with Walmart a half hour away, the prices were close enough that it would be a waste of time to get it anywhere else.
Stuff for kids to do- Look- there are few places that I allow my feral creatures to be feral. The playground facilities are among their favorite. That says a lot, as we reside in NoVA, with some playgrounds that are flat out amazing. If your into hiking or RC trucks, this is the place. Trails for days!
Staff- I can't say enough for Jed and his family and the staff. They are on top of any issue. One year (2021 I believe) when we arrived and got the TT settled, my truck battery died. Their tech brought up a voltometer and was moral support as I Diaged the problem. My neighbor gave me a ride to Autozone to get a new battery. It really is the small stuff.
We will continue to stay at Blue Rocks. When we say we are going camping, the first question out of my kids mouths is "Are we going to Blue Rocks?" That says more than I could ever.
