Campground VERY well maintained. Pit toilets were spotless, grass mowed and things picked up. Until the bear got into the dumpster, BUT Dave and Deb had everything cleaned up the very next morning. They were very good camp hosts.

I stayed for one night at the end of a long cross country trip. It was a quiet weekday. Taking a walk through the woods from the camper loop to the shower block was idylic. The composting toilets in the RV loop were the sweetest smelling I have experienced.
It's a bit of a trek off the highway. I am thinking of going back when I have more time to enjoy the area.

From the west, take I-80 east to Clarion, Pennsylvania. Turn left onto State Route
66 and continue northeast to Marienville. Turn right on South Forest Street and go south 6 mi to the Loleta Campground entrance sign.

66 and continue northeast to Marienville. Turn right on South Forest Street and go south 6 mi to the Loleta Campground entrance sign.
From the north, take State Route 66 to Marienville, turn left on South Forest Street and go 6 mi south to the Loleta Campground entrance sign.
From the east, take I-80 west to the PA-36 exit towards Sigel/Brookville. Turn right onto PA-36 and take it to PA-949. Turn right on PA-949 to Bridge Road and cross the Clarion National Wild & Scenic River. Turn left onto River Road then right onto Gregg Hill Road. At the end of Gregg Hill Road, take a slight left onto Loleta Road/SR3002 and follow it to the campground entrance sign.
Highway access
Loleta Recreation is accessible via I-80, with the closest interchange located in Clarion, PA. State Route 66 also serves as a major road leading to Marienville, from which South Forest Street provides access to the campground.
