What Guests Are Saying
Bush Recreation Area is praised for its beautiful campsites, clean facilities, and particularly the outstanding campground host, Darlene, who is friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful to guests. Many visitors enjoy the peaceful atmosphere, opportunities for fishing, boating, and wildlife sightings, such as bald eagles. While some minor issues were noted, like long grass and maintenance concerns, the overall experience is positive, with many campers eager to return.

Clean sites, bathrooms were what you would expect for a camping experience. Would have liked a set area designated for swimming for kids instead of a mixed fishing/swimming area.

This place is a must if you want to get out and enjoy the outdoors with some outdoors water fun with family and/or friends. The staff is very friendly, as soon as we got in to our camp site we were greeted by a host. Park rangers and the host drive around the camp site every couple hours to make sure everything is good. There is a huge lake in front of the campsite were you can bring your kayaks, boats or just dive in to swim. Pets are also welcome. I highly recommend this place.

There aren’t any trails in this park. You must drive out for hiking and biking.

The campground and bathhouse were nice and clean on a busy Labor Day weekend. Great experience!

Only issue was grass was very high and needed cut at our site.

Great family camping area. Enjoyed the site (easy in and out with 26 ft travel trailer); water hook up but no sewer (pump station was hard to maneuver toward on way out which is way in LOL) and bathrooms clean. People great throughout the campground. Fishing and kayaking were the best and extremely enjoyable.
