About Ives Run

Ives Run Campground sits on the eastern shore of Hammond Lake in north-central Pennsylvania. Surrounded by lush forested ridges, the lake offers recreation for the entire family, including picnicking, swimming, boating, fishing, hiking, hunting and wildlife watching. Ives Run, with its beach and grassy sunning area, is a great place for kids of any age. The facility has campsites as well as group picnic shelters that can be reserved for family reunions, company picnics, neighborhood gatherings and other group events.

Ives Run is a beautiful and well-maintained campground with spacious sites, friendly staff, and a scenic location near Hammond Lake. Many visitors appreciate the cleanliness of the facilities, the peaceful atmosphere, and the variety of outdoor activities available, such as fishing, hiking, and biking. Great campground. No one is working at the check-in booth, so you proceed to your site. However checkout time is 3 PM, so if you're early your site might be occupied. The camp store is currently closed.

Always fun adventure . Weather a little chilly 2 days. Had grandkids with us. They fished, road bikes & loved evening s’mores at campfire. 🔥
Plus lake was great to kayak on once sunny weather came. Our dog loved is walks everyday too .

What a great place. Everything was well-kept: the lawns, the bathhouses, the pavilions, the boat ramps...everything. The sites are generously sized, with big lawns. You sure don't feel crowded.

The visitor's center is worth finding. It's not on the campground map, but the friendly camp hosts can give you directions (it's about a mile from the main campground). Some nice background on the area, and they have a live rattlesnake and bullfrogs on exhibit. There are also viewing scopes to see the osprey nest.

The camp store was not open when we were there, and it looks like it has not been open in a long time. Get firewood and other supplies outside the park.

  • All reservations must be made on www.recreation.gov or by calling (877) 444-6777 prior to arrival. Reservations to include any reservation changes, such as cancel, refund requests, site transfer, or date changes cannot be made at facility location. 
  • Dogs must be leashed or otherwise physically restrained at all times
  • Park only in designated areas and obey all State & Local traffic laws
