We made these reservations 6 months ago for the Tionesta Indian festival, but due to covid 19, we ended up not going into the festival. Just enjoyed a relaxing camping trip.

We really enjoy this campground, and plan to return many times! Full hookups are great, most spots are roomy, and flat. Our last trip wasn't as nice, a tree fell on the spot we reserved. The camp host was great and phone us at home and gave us another spot. It was rather small and it rained the entire time. It didn't matter though, it was just the two of us so we stayed inside, played games, and went for a ride. They also refunded one nights fee for the inconvenience!

The campground itself was nice but the local town left much to be desired. We had to leave early because we could not get a cell or internet connectivity. This was important because my husband had to work. I called Recreation.gov for a refund and the person I talked to said to call Tionesta, which I did, and left a message for the resource manager. To date, I have not gotten a call back.

Camp host and staff visited our site three times to make sure we were good! First two were informative, helpful, and very courteous! The third, a female, switching our placard out on our signpost for our "extra night" that we had purchased prior to arriving at the campground, made us feel like we were putting her out by trying to explain why we had the extra night purchased. She made comments like, "well that the kind of thing that keeps us busy around here", and, "I guess that will give us something to do on the computer, but computers are wonderful, they will allow us to fix anything!"
She was the only snarky person we met the entire weekend! So I guess that was a "very good" weekend! It is the only thing that kept me from rating an EXCELLENT!
Also, it rained very hard for 5 hours on Friday eve into Sat. morning. Your drainage system is amazing!! The sites are all pea-graveled and crowned, yet level! The drainage ditches worked to perfection all around the campground except for one spot involving two sites. Very impressive! Overall, we were very impressed with the campground, the trails, the water resources and the town. We will be back again!
